Shooting Competition.

Shooting on 15 yards S.M.R.C. target, at the Welfare Baths, Denaby, Saturday, J. C. MacFarlane (Denaby) won the Leslie Challenge Cup, scoring 23 points out of a possible 36.

The second and third were : T. Swinburne, 27 points, J. Cranidge, 26 points, and W. Booth and H. Turner tied for the fourth place with 25.

Each competitor was allowed six rounds at six bulls.

This is the first time the cup has been competed for, and was presented to the Denaby and C-adeby Miners’ Welfare Institute by Major Leslie, D.C.M., for competition among the employees of the Denaby and Cadeby Main Collieries.
