Sleeping Out

Isaac Foster, a labourer, of no fixed address, was charged with sleeping out at Cadeby, on December 9th.

P.c. Moore said he found the man asleep near the lime kiln close by the Cadeby Colliery. He had been instructed to watch the place because there were a lot of tools lying about there.

Prisoner pleaded to be let off. He had walked from Leicester to try and find work and hoped to be set on the morning before.

The Chairman did not wish to prevent any man from getting work and decided only to detain him till the rising of the court.
