“Smash and Grab” at Denaby Shop

Early on Boxing Day morning a smash and grab raid was made at the premises of Whittaker’s of Denaby Main.

Mr R Williams (the proprietor) told our correspondent that the Police knew the premises were intact at 5 AM, but my 5:30 AM the raid had been accomplished.

A large plate glass window was smashed, and as far, as they could say, one portable wireless set, one record player and two electric irons had been stolen.

Whether the thieves may have been, they have they had cut their hands in the raid, because bloodstains were found.
