Private Smith, 15 Clifton Street, Denaby main, has died in a London hospital of pneumonia.

He was a reservist, and had served throughout the war from Mons onwards. He had been three times wounded.

His wife was with him when he died, and his body was later removed to his home. He was buried at Denaby on Thursday with military honours

Before the war he was in the employment of the G.C.railway company at Conisbrough.
