Sons And Grandsons Serving
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Manchester, 24, The Crescent, Conanby, have two sons and two grandsons serving.
Trooper David Manchester (27), one of the sons, is with the Reconnaissance Corps, and has been in the Army for three years.
The other son, L.A.C. John Manchester (19), was educated at Mexborough Secondary School and entered the R.A.F. as a cadet at the age of 16. Since Christmas he has been in North Africa.
George Kenneth Manchester (20), a grandson, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Manchester, 61 Clifton Street, Denaby. Six months of his three years’ service have been spent in Iraq.
L.A.C. William Edward Hodgetts, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Hodgetts, 1 Cliff Villas, Conisbrough, is also a grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Manchester.
