Home From India

Visiting the home of his parents at 26, Adwick Street, Denaby Main, is Gunner Edward Armstrong, who has been in India for seven years.  He joined up about eight years ago.

During that time, he met and married a Miss Diana Betty MacMurdock and they have two children.  Mrs. Armstrong and the children are with Gunner Armstrong and they hope to remain in this district until Gunner Armstrong is able to resume his ordinary work at the local collieries when he settles down.

Mrs. Armstrong was born in Simla, India and this is her first visit to England.  Her parents emigrated to India many years ago from Scotland.

Gunner Armstrong  had a spell in hospital and there met a Conisbrough man, L/Cpl. Taylor.
