Pte. Venetia Atkins, of the A.T.S., is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Atkins, of 1, Tickhill Square, Denaby Main, joined the Forces 12 months ago.
Pte Atkins previously worked in a mill, but says she is very happy in her present work, and, judging by the photograph, this is quite true. She is at present at home on leave and returns to duty to-day (Friday).
She has two brothers (Henry and William) serving with the Home Guard, and her father is a Special Constable.
