Conisborough Guardsman
Pte. Arthur Barnes. 26-years-old son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Barnes , of 68, Highfield Road, Conisborough. joined the Coldstream Guards last October—and just the right size he is for the Guards —six feet one inch.
Pte. Barnes, who before enlisting worked for 12 years at the Ashfield Brickworks, Conisborough, was a member of the works cricket eleven in the Y.A.P. and Y.B.C. League and filled the position of a bowler.
Barnes, who was home on five days’ leave at Christmas, is single.
