Of Age

A/c.1 Gordon Farmer, second son of Mr. and Mrs. I. Farmer, of Strafforth Terrace, Denaby Main, will celebrate his coming of age on Monday in North Africa.

He joined the Forces nearly two years ago and has been abroad with an R.A.F. unit for 18 months in North Africa.

He regularly receives the “South Yorkshire Times” from his parents. It keeps him in touch with home. He is quite happy in his job and proud of the fact that he had the privilege of seeing the King when he visited Tunis and Mr. Churchill at Tripoli.

Gordon’s brother Douglas is on war work at home and his mother is a voluntary ambulance driver. They are sending him birthday greetings this week through the medium of this paper.
