Painter Takes Up Arms
Gunner B. A. Hartley, who is serving with the Middle East Forces, is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Hartley, Old Road, Conisbrough.
Before joining up he was Sunday School secretary of the New Hill Methodist Church, where he was married last June.
He served his apprenticeship as painter and decorator.
