Warrant Officer First Class Michael J. Kavaney of Rossington Street, Denaby Main, has been in the Army for eight years and was formerly a student at Mexborough Technical School.
He served in France and is at present in India, where he has been for the last two and a half years.
After one year and three months he passed Higher Standard Order and Elementary Order test. He also speaks another Indian language. He is a keen student of languages.
