Killed In Action

Mrs. T. H. Kelly, of 32, Doncaster Road, Denaby has received official intimation that her son, Pte. Jack Kelly (27), was killed in action in the Central Mediterranean area on Feb 22nd.

Previously he had been reported missing.  Pte. Kelly left Denaby Colliery to join up in 1941.  He served for 18 months and was discharged through illness but rejoined a year later.

He had been abroad only a few weeks.
