Goalkeeper In Khaki

Pte. J. Langford (38), second son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Langford, of 73, Maltby Street, Denaby, volunteered 18 months ago and is with the R.A.O.C. in North Africa.  He has been in hospital with malaria, but is well now and enjoying Army life.

A footballer, Pte. Langford played in goal for Scarborough, Grimsby, Southampton, Torquay, and for four years before joining the Forces with Yeovil.  Before enlisting he was a munitions worker in the South.

He has a brother serving in the Scottish Borderers.
