Soldier Cartoonist

Private L. Linstead (19½), nephew of Mr. and Mrs. Pearson, of 35 Annerley Street, Denaby Main, has sent an amusing cartoon to his relatives showing two soldiers in their desert solitude, one commenting to the other, “I’m darned if I know what to get my girl for Christmas.”

Private Linstead is fond of this work and has sent many examples of his handiwork to his people. His home is at Bradford and he is attached to the York and Lancs. Regiment.

He has been in the forces for 2½ years and is now in the Middle East.
