Small World

When Mrs. F. Mincher, 60, Ivanhoe Road, Conisbrough, received her last letter from her husband, Gnr. F. Mincher, R.A., who has been in the Middle East for just over a year, she was surprised to learn that her husband had met her eldest brother, Gur. John Stonehouse, who resides at 45, Athelstane Road, Conisbrough, strolling down the main street of an East African city, saw two soldiers coming towards him, and was delighted to find that one was his brother-in-law.
The meeting was duly celebrated. Only a few days previously Gnr. Mincher had met his wife’s cousin, John Madden, whose home is in Swinton, and who was on shore leave.
Fred Mincher, who has been in the Army for 2 ½ years, formerly worked at Conisbrough Cliffs, and John Stonehouse, who has been in the R.A. for three years, worked at Dale Brown’s. Mrs. Mincher sends the “Times” out to them both every week.
