Fit as a Fiddle
Gunner W. Pass, of 14, Barnburgh Street, Denaby Main, was called to the colours about two weeks before war was declared.
He was sent to France and later evacuated from Dunkirk, but is now with an anti-aircraft battery somewhere in England.
He has recently been on furlough and says he is as fit as a fiddle and enjoys the Army life. He has had eight years with the Territorials and knows a bit about it.
He is a regular reader of the “South Yorkshire Times” which is sent to him regularly.
