Sergeant Killed
Official notification has been received by Mr. and Mrs. Albert Rayner, of Coney Road, Bentley, formerly of 41, Blythe Street, Denaby, that their son, Sergt. Albert Rayner, has died in battle in the Middle East.
Sergt. Rayner volunteered for the Army seven years ago and formerly worked at Denaby Main. He had been abroad six years. His father went all through the last war and he and the rest of the family now work in war factories. Sergt. Rayner was unmarried.
