Bombardier Wainwright, son of Mr and Mrs William Wainwright, 61 Crookhill view, Park Road, Conisbrough, was killed in action in France on October 12 aged 22.
He had been serving since April 1, 1915 and went to France in January 1916.
Before enlistment he was qualified in dentistry, in Bury
