Out East
Gunner Walter Wilson. R.A., 11, Fullerton Avenue, Conanby, is with the Middle East Forces and on February 4th his wife heard in an airgraph message that he was safe and well.
Gunner Wilson was in the Territorials prior to the war, when he was transferred to the Royal Artillery. He was discharged from the Forces in February, 1940 to return to work at the colliery but was recalled in October of the same year.
He left England in March, 1941, and was next heard of out East, and he has been in that theatre of war ever since, with many other Denaby and Conisbrough lads.
