Pte. Leslie Winner, son of Mrs. Winner and the late Mr. Winner, of 21, Edlington Street, Denaby, who has been out in North Africa for a year, has sent his mother a poem in praise of Denaby.
He is enjoying life abroad and tells his mother that grapes are plentiful where he is stationed. He has been in the Forces two years and previously worked at Dale Brown’s.
Pte. Winner, who was 22 yesterday (Thursday) was in the Tunisian campaign.
