Four Brothers

Four sons of the late Mr. and Mrs. G. Rumble, formerly of Prior Road, Conisbrough, are in the Forces.

Sig. Dennis Rumble (29), whose wife lives at 10, Badsley Terrace, Rotherham, joined the Coldstream Guards in January, 1934, and was mobilised in November 1939. In 1941 he returned to work on telephones for the Post Office and was recalled to the Royal Corps of Signals in April this year.

Guardsman Harry Rumble (24), whose wife lives at Croydon, joined the Army in October 1939, and is in Algiers. He was formerly a waiter at the Danum Hotel, Doncaster.

A.C. Frank Rumble (22), volunteered for the R.A.F. in July 1941, and is in India. He formerly worked for Conisbrough Cliff Co. His wife lives at Hexthorpe.

The youngest brother, Wireman Cinema Projectionist Ashley Rumble (19), of Windermere Avenue, Goldthorpe, joined the Fleet Air Arm in June this year and has an interesting job in connection with cinema projection work. He was formerly a cinema operator at Goldthorpe Picture House.
