Our Soldiers and Sailors

Seaman Walter Bagshaw, son of Mr and Mrs George Bagshaw, who took part in the Dardanelles and some engagement, and be known on a well-deserved 10 day furlough, as he enlisted in September 1914.

His brother private Jesse Blackshaw, has seen service in India, and is now stationed at Malta.

Private Gladstone Crabtree (York and Lancs), whose parents reside at Highfield, took part and was wounded in the great August push, in which action his is brother was killed.

Sigler A Bostock, whose relative resides at 31 Holywell Ln, has been almost sick leave, after being in Reading hospital since July 1, when he received a bullet wound in his ankle.

We have received information that Private Walter Wood (K.O.Y.L.I.), whose relatives live at Maltby, and formerly of Conisbrough that he had been killed in action.
