Military Family at Conisborough

Four Conisborough brothers, Military Policeman Edward Jackson (22); Drummer John Jackson (27): Stoker Thomas Jackson (24), and Driver Arthur Jackson (28), all on active service, are maintaining the fine military tradition of their family.

Their grandfather was for 45 years the 10th Hussars, their grandmother and an aunt were born in military barracks in India, their mother was born in barracks in Colchester, their father was killed the Great War, and their stepfather, Mr. W. Bagshaw, of Ferry Villas, Low Road, Conisborough, also served for four years in the last conflict.
