Father and Son
The 21 years’ service of C.S.M. William McGrath of 46. Daylands Avenue. Conisbrough are being supplemented by his eldest son, Sapper Harry McGrath, who, at the age of 17 left his employment at Dale, Brown’s, Swinton, to join up and has seen two years’ service in Gibraltar with the R.E.
C.S.M. McGrath has spent all his Army career with the K.O.Y.L.I. and was due to retire, but, due to the war, he continues to serve and is stationed in this country.
