 Father and Son

Conisborough has a father and son in the Forces.

The father, Mr. Albert Wright, of 14, Leslie Avenue, Conisborough, who formerly worked at Cadeby Colliery and who had two years’ service in the last war, volunteered for military service soon after the outbreak of hostilities in September, 1939, and is now with the R.A.M.C.

His son, Charles, who is 18, volunteered some three months ago and is a Lance-Bombardier in the Royal Artillery and is somewhere in the South.

Like his father, Charles was employed at Cadeby Colliery, and is an old scholar of Conisborough Senior School.
