Spiritualists

The Conisborough Church of the National Spiritualist Union in Old Road, was opened on Sunday afternoon, when the service was conducted by Mr. S. C. Webb, of Doncaster, president of the Sheffield District of the Union, and by Mr. T. S. Johnson, of Rotherham, vice-president of the district.

Amongst the congregation, which included many members from adjoining areas, was Mrs. Weller, of Barnsley, treasurer of the district. Six weeks’ work were necessary for the transformation of a garage into a church, and this is to be used until more commodious premises can be obtained. About 120 can be seated and two meetings are to be held every Sunday.

During the past twelve months meetings have been held in the home of Mr. William Hall, Ivanhoe Road, who is acting as secretary.
