“Spot kick”
An absorbed “spectator” at the Denaby reserves versus Hallam match on Saturday was a brown and black mongrel which had been sitting about 20 yards from the touchline on a grassy mound.
But watching is one thing and when a shot from King, inside right, missed the goal by about five yards and hit him in the “tail” region without so much as a murmur the mongrel totted off, head high in the air.
