Stealing Coal
At Doncaster on Saturday, Joseph Fletcher, collier, new Denaby, was charged with stealing coal.
On the night of the 22nd November defendant was seen to go some wagons standing near the Denaby colliery and take coal. When arrested he has his pockets and a bag he carried full of coal.
The wife said her husband had been out of work, and they had not a bit of coal in the house.
As the man had been in custody seven days he was ordered to be discharged at the rising of the court.
