Stole Draft.

Admitting the theft from the man with whom she had lived for 15 years, Mona Fordam (62), of Chestnut Grove, Conisbrough, was accused before the Doncaster magistrates on Saturday, of stealing a postal address from a house in Wheatley Lane, Doncaster, and obtaining £3-17-6 with it by forgery and stealing £1-6-0 from a Doncaster café.

She was put on probation for two years on the first charge, conditionally discharged on the second and fined £3 on the third.

Det. Inspector John Todd said she had been living with a man in Wheatley Lane, Doncaster, for 15 years but he had recently ordered her to leave. When asked about the postal draft which she took from the post man she said “Serve him right.”
