Surety for a Denaby Man

Daniel Edwards, filler, Denaby Main, was committed to prison for one month in default of finding a surety to be bound over with him to keep the peace and an additional 14 days for non-payment of certain costs.

At a previous court day the defendant was convicted of a breach of the peace by fighting with another man. In his absence he was ordered to find a surety. He appeared on Saturday, brought a person whom the magistrates could not accept a surety, and as he could not find anyone else, he was committed.

He had twice before being bound over, and on one occasion his recognisances were estreated.
