Taking a Pipe In The Pit
Joseph Law, of Banally Main, was charged with a breach of the Bye-Laws of the Coal Mine Regulation by taking a pipe down the Denaby Main pit.
Geo. Waring said that on Feb. 28 he searched the men in a certain district of the pit, and in defendant’s waistcoat pocket he found a tobacco pipe.
Defendant said he was sorry, and did not know how it got there.
Fined 1s and costs.
