Talks on Denaby Factory site.
Conisbrough Urban Council is to take part in discussions with an unnamed firm with a view to the redevelopment of the former ICI Westfalite Factory site in Denaby Lane, Conisbrough.
The Council has been approached by the firm or interest in using the site for light industrial purposes and for the housing of staff and employees.
A special Council subcommittee will now holds site meetings with representatives of the firm and appropriate Council Officials.
Clerk of the Council, Mr R.F.Edwardson, told members on Wednesday, “We are not in a position to make a full disclosure of the circumstances, which might prejudice an effect land purchase, which may take place.”
