Private Robert Taylor
York and Lancaster

Son of Mrs Harriet Taylor, 64 Doncaster road, Conisbrough, died in France on July 19 of wounds received on July 17.

Private Taylor enlisted in November 1914, and went to Gallipoli in September 1915. He was wounded then in December and was again wounded in France in June 1916.

More recently he was gassed. Private Taylor was well known in Conisbrough and his death is much regretted.

He was 26 years of age. Previous to enlistment he was employed at Cadeby.

His younger brother private Chesters Taylor, is with the forces in India, and another brother, Private, Tom Taylor, is in France.
