Television Stars
Mr and Mrs George Wostenholm, of 34, West Street, Conisbrough, perhaps better known as “Yasmin and West”, have written to the London Nuffield Centre (the TV forces shell) asking for a chance to perform in their show.
Although it has been rumoured in Conisbrough that the couple have already had their audition for television, this is not so, but they have contacted a London agent who has advised them to apply to the Nuffield centre.
Their act includes Latin American and Eastern dances. This week they wrote to the Nuffield centre and are now awaiting a reply. “Yasmin” or Mrs Margaret Wostenholm told a “Times” reporter that they had decided to try for television because they had been told by many people in the district that they were “too ambitious for this part of the country”.
