Testimonial from Conisbro’.

September 1879

Scarborough Express and General Advertiser – Saturday 27 September 1879

Testimonial from Conisbro’.

Conisbro’, March, 1879.

Messrs. Walsh and Co.—Gentlemen,—I have much pleasure in testifying to the efficacy of the Holman Liver and Stomach Pad. Previous to last September I suffered continually from indigestion, costiveness, and bad breathing, and had frequently to take physic of one kind or another, but could get no permanent relief.

Mr. Proctor, your agent here, gave me one of your pamphlets, and which I read carefully through. The argument seemed feasible and honest, and I determined to give the treatment a fair trial, and I can honestly say that during the six months I have used it I have not had occasion to take a single dose of medicine, and am happy to say my bowels are easy, my intellect better, my breathing easier, my appetite very much improved, and in fact can say I am 90 per cent. a better man than I was this day six months.

With pleasure I hear this testimony, and you are at liberty to make what use of it you like.

I am, gentlemen, yours faithfully,

(Signed) BENJ. W. EVANS.
