The Abusive Ones.
For using abusive language, fines were imposed as follows: Isaiah Lewis, newsagent. Goldthorpe, 12/6: John Revill and Charlie Revill, colliers. 17/6 each: Charles Goldthorpe. collier. Thurnscoe. 12/11. The Revills had several convictions against them.
For using violent language, two Thurnscoe colliers—John William Ashton and Thomas Robinson—had 11/6 each to hand over.
James Davies, miner, New Conisboro’ and Ellen Regan, married, New Conisboro’, had 12/6 each to pay for using obscene language.
