The Cadeby Colliery.

The Cadeby Colliery.

Satisfactory progress is being made at the new colliery shaft which is being sunk at Cadeby by the Denaby Main Colliery Company, although delays occur still in consequence of tapping fresh springs.

It was announced on Saturday that the engines were powerless, and that the shafts were rapidly filling with water.

This wasn erroneous. In one shaft the water has been entirely removed, and the ” springs ” are quite under control in the other shaft, though the inrush of a volume of spring water necessitates the procuring of certain new machinery.
