The Case for a Police Station at Conisboro´

The numerous cases, which brought before the magistrates at Doncaster every Saturday from Conisborough impresses that there is an urgent necessity for a Police Station at that place.

The recent pocket picking case together with other affairs which have taken place in that locality gave abundant proof that such a building is needful if not desirable.

Supposing a prisoners apprehended say at 10 or 11 o’clock at night, what is a policeman to do with him?

He must either taken to Doncaster as best he can on foot, or otherwise he is under the painful necessity of allowing him a nights lodging at his house, if he has one.

We hope the authorities will give this matter there serious consideration.
