The Denabyites Again
John Boland, miner, was charged with an assault on Alice Taylor, at Denaby on Christmas Day.
The complainant and her friends were keeping Christmas Day, the prisoner entered and demanded to be allowed to remain all-night, with the object apparently of joining in the carousel, there having been a store of liquor procured from the public house for the purpose.
Objection was taken to the prisoner remaining, and a disturbance followed, during which prisoner smashed to windowpanes and struck the complainant on the breast.
He was fined 25 shillings including costs.
