The Fog at Mexborough.

During the intense fog that prevailed and district on Saturday several narrow escapes from drowning took place. A man and his daughter, walking from Mexborough to Denaby, got into the canal near Grey’s Bridge, but fortunately were enabled to get out again only a wetting the worse.

A trap accident also occurred on the road between the two places named, one of the vehicles being heavily laden with passengers, none of whom, however, were seriously injured.
