The Grenade was Live

An Army bomb disposal unit was called to the home of Mr Kenneth Fletcher, 16, Wheatley Street, Denaby Main, on Friday after Mr Fletcher, who was demolishing an old wooden shed attached to his home, had found two metal canisters and a hand grenade under the floorboards.

The canisters were found to be harmless battery accumulated, but the grenade was found to be live and was removed by the unit
