The Late Mr. J. Watkin
On Tuesday of last week at Rotherham Mr. John Watkin (who was well known in this area up to a few years ago) was buried at the age of 82 years.
Mr. Watkin was for many years the head cashier for the Denaby and Cadeby Collieries. He retired about ten years ago after having served the firm for about 55 years.
Many of his old colleagues attended the funeral at Rotherham and representing the Amalgamated Denaby Collieries, Ltd., and Denaby and Cadeby Collieries were Messrs. J. H. Dunk, T. C. Campbell, L. Hartley and E. Dabbs, and also in attendance were Mr. F. Harrop and Mr. S. R. Johnson, who had also been associated with Mr. Watkin.
