The Living of Conisborough

The Rev. W. H. F. Bateman, rector of Holy Trinity, York, has been offered the living of Conisborough by the Archbishop of York.

Mr. Bateman was formerly curate of St. Lawrence, York, and was appointed rector of Holy Trinity in 1890.

Mr. and Mrs. Bateman visited Conisborough on Wednesday, and inspected the church and the vicarage. Mr Bateman will take a few days to decide. Mr and Mrs Bateman were entertained to lunch by Mr and Mrs Chambers at the Dale.

The Archbishop has fixed Thursday, November 24, the date on which he will institute the new Vicar.
