The Spragging Rule at Denaby.

Joseph Webster, miner, Denaby, was charged with a breach of special rule 101, by failing to set a sprag at Denaby colliery, and November 22

Mr Gichard persecuted, and defendant, who pleaded guilty, was fined 20/–, including costs.

Peter Flaherty, miner, of Denaby, pleaded guilty to a like offence committed on November 21.

Mr Gichard, who prosecuted, said the result of the defendant’s negligence was a slip occurred at the coalface, and the defendant and his filler had a narrow escape of being seriously injured.

Fined 20s/– including costs.
