John Evan, miner, New Conisborough, was charged with being drunk and disorderly at Conisborough on August 21.
PC Richie saw the defendant wearing nothing but his clog and trousers. He was very drunk and making a great disturbance.
PC Jarvis corroborated
Fined 10 shillings and 10 shillings costs, or 10 days hard labour.
Thomas Ready, miner, New Conisborough, Charlie being drunk and disorderly at Conisborough on August 21.
PC Richie said he was on duty in Station Road, Conisborough, when he where he saw the defendant drunk in about. He was using filthy language.
Sgt Brown corroborated
Fined 20 shillings and costs 5s 6d.
John Jarvis, miner, new Conisborough was charged with being drunk.
PC Jarvis said he saw the defendant very drunk and staggering about the road. He wanted to shake hands with Sgt Brown, and abused him when he refused.
Sgt Brown corroborated and said that the defendant’s bad language was heard by several women and children.
Fined 10 shillings and nine shillings cost
