The Usuals
The following persons were summoned for having been drunk and disorderly.
“It looks as if I am guilty,” said a burly Conisboro’ collier named Frederick Lawrence, who appeared with a badly damaged face. “I got this for nothing,” he went on. “I was drunk.” He was fined 5s. and costs.
William Oliver, a labourer of no fixed abode, was also charged, and his lapse cost him 5s.
The following had to pay 2s. 6d. and costs: John Davies, Ephraim Summerscales, Frederick Holdsworth, miners; Fred Crooks, labourer, Conisboro’; Patrick Blythe, miner, Mexboro’; and William Henry Barnett, labourer, Mexboro’.
