Theft and Drink.

To-day, at  Doncaster, Charles Levitt, collier Conisborough, was sent to prison for a month for stealing 9s. from the till at the Station Hotel, Conisborough, on August 26.

Prisoner went into the house with others and had some drink. After prisoner had left Frederick Lowe, the landlord’s son went in and found 9s. missing from the till.

He did not see prisoner again until he met him at Doncaster on Saturday, and prisoner then said that he was sorry he had taken the money, but he was in drink.
