West Riding Police Court.

On Wednesday, Hepsey Cooke, of Mexbro’, was committed to the sessions for trial on the charge of stealing a ring, a dress, and a shawl.

The prisoner lived with her uncle, Francis Jno. Grant, and on the 6th inst. she decamped with the things.

Joseph Cusworth and Geo. Diggles, two colliers, belonging to Denaby, were charged with stealing apples.

They were seen to go into the orchard of a Mr. Senior, of Mexbro’, and fill four baskets full of apples. They were each fined £2 and costs.
