Theft of Coal at Conisbro’

Yesterday, John Butler, 12. Henry Waterfield, 13, Joseph Henry Gundry, I0, and Henry Brammer, 9, all of  Conisbro’, were charged with stealing coal, the propertv of James Cooper, collier.

It appeared from the evidence that the boys took a cwt. of coal from the prosecutor’s coal house, and sold it a neighbour and spent the money.

Butler and Waterfield were ordered to receive six strokes with the Birch rod, and the other boys were bound over to come up when called upon.
