Miner Who Rescued Boys

Press publicity after the last meeting of Conisborough Urban District Council has traced Mr. Leslie Taylor, a Conanby miner, who rescued two boys from the dam near Conisborough Castle last year.

At the Council meeting Mr. Spencer Baker, clerk, said that he wanted find Mr. Taylor as the Royal Humane Society (to whom the Council had made application on Mr. Taylor’s behalf for the Society’s award) were anxious to deal with all outstanding applications.

Mr. Baker added that he had traced Mr. Taylor, who had left Conisborough, to Wath-on-Dearne, but all further inquiries had proved fruitless.

Mr. Taylor, who has returned to Conisborough, and is lodging at Fullerton Avenue, Conanby, has now made himself known at the Council offices.
